The translation cost for these documents is equal to that of normal documents. However, if a certified expert translation is required (and with this kind of documents, this is the usual situation), a charge for certified translation is added, which is clearly stated in your quote.
What are the prices for the translation service?
Our fees depend on the translation project. Before knowing the potential cost of any project, we need you to send us your document, in order to analyze it and asses its specialization degree, formatting requirements, experts to be involved and any additional services requested by the client (such as certification services) or required by the project (such as edition services).
Generally speaking, in order to estimate the possible costs, the price per word translated into Spanish is MX$ 1.09, while the price per word translated into English is MX$ 1.19. But remember, the final cost of a translation project may include other additional charges. It is necessary you send your document for Tradem Translation’s experts may analyze it and provide you with an appropriate quote. When you are satisfied with the quote and agree to proceed with the translation services, Tradem Translation starts the translation process according to the conditions agreed upon.
How can I count the words in my document?
It depends on your document format. In order to carry out an automatic word counting with the computer, an editable file is necessary, such as Word, Power Point, and Excel file types. All these applications include their own word counting functions, which may help you to have an idea of the number of words contained in your file. In this link you will find how to do this on Microsoft and Mac apps.
However, these word counters have some deficiencies; for example, they do not consider the words inserted in shapes or there are inconsistencies in the heading and footnoting counting. Therefore, Tradem Translation performs its word counting using specialized tools.
When your documents are not editable, we take a representative page of your file, estimate the words in it, and multiply these one-page words by the total number of pages. In this manner, we obtain an approximate word volume to make your quote.
To determine the final cost of your translation, we do not consider the original file, but the translated file, because the original may or may not be editable, while the final file will always be editable and, consequently, its words can be estimated accurately.
Usually, there are certain differences in the word counting between the original text and the translated text. When estimating your quote, we consider these possible differences, so we make the appropriate adjustments to provide you with an approximate cost as accurate as possible. The final cost will always depend on the words resulting in the translation. Therefore, the final cost will be known until completing the translation task.

How is the translation process?
The translation process varies according to the project and needs. Broadly speaking, after confirming a translation project, the document is assigned to the translators that best suit according to their skills, capabilities, education, credentials and availability. After the translation process, the document is sent to proofreading. The proofreader is also assigned according to their experience and skills. When the proofreading is complete, the translation final version is sent to the client, including final word counting and cost.
Other processes can be added depending on the translation project needs.
How long does a translation take?
It depends on the document extension and complexity, as well as the availability of human resources. The quote clearly determines the delivery date expressed in working days.
Are express services available?
Yes. When a translation is required before the date proposed in the quote, we can offer express services. However, clients should consider that this kind of services may involve text division among several translators (which may bring irregularities in the style), reduced time for research and documentation (which may affect the quality of terms and style), and reduced time for proofreading (which may affect the writing quality).
The express service is available as long as we have the sufficient human resources and tools to meet your delivery needs. Moreover, since more resources, more collaborators and longer work shifts are involved, it brings extra charges on the translation cost.
Our strong recommendation is to avoid as possible the express services. In order to do so, consider the translation time when planning your projects. You can ask us in order to estimate the amount of time that might be suitable to be taken into account for this purposes.
Which is the method of payment?
You can make you payment using PayPal or by means of wire transfer. At the appropriate time, we will send you an e-mail with payment details. Or, if you are visiting us at our physical address, you can also make payments in cash.
